About this studio
Signature Dance Academy was established in 2010 at 13150 Poway Road in Poway, California, with the goal of creating a welcoming environment for dancers to train. Its founders, originally from the Midwest, set out to build a studio where everyone knew your name and which felt like a home away from home. The academy offers dance classes for children and teens roughly ages 2 to 18, running both recreational and competitive programs, with a competition team that recruits for each new competitive season. The purpose-built facility has four dance rooms with professionally sprung floors, two with wood surfaces and two with Marley stage flooring, plus closed-circuit monitoring in all rooms, observation windows, climate control and a lobby. Prospective students are invited to try a complimentary class, and the studio holds an annual recital that includes parent and grandparent dances.
