About this studio
Madhusri Sethuraman teaches Bharatanatyam from a dedicated studio in Plano, Texas, under the banners Natya Tharagai, Natya Mayuri, Natya KalaKaumudi and Abhinaya Bharathi. She began dancing at the age of four, performed her arangetram at eight, and has been active in the field for more than fifty years, training under teachers including Padmabhushan Smt. Kamala, Kalaimamani Rajarathnam Pillai and Padmabhushan Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan. She has given over 500 performances across India, the United States, Europe, Australia, Singapore, China and Hong Kong. She began teaching as a volunteer in 1988 and founded the Srutilaya school of dance in 1992, through which she has taught more than 1,000 students and presented over 130 arangetrams (graduation performances).
