Collin County Ballet Theatre Inc.

Collin County Ballet Theatre is a regional ballet company and 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Plano, Texas, founded in 2001 by artistic directors Kirt and Linda Hathaway, charter members of Dallas Ballet whose careers also included Houston Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Ballet de Santiago and Cincinnati Ballet, plus directorships at Lexington Ballet and Ballet Arkansas. The company's mission is to cultivate excellence in classical ballet across Collin County and neighbouring North Texas communities. It established the Hathaway Academy of Ballet as its official school in 2001, and has been a resident performing company member of Regional Dance America Southwest since 2008. Productions have included The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Coppelia, Peter and the Wolf, Winter Works and Ballet Fete, often in collaboration with the Plano Symphony Orchestra and other local arts organizations. It is supported entirely by community volunteers, sponsors and its Guild.
