Santa Barbara Dance Arts (SBDA) is a dance school at 531 E. Cota Street, Santa Barbara, celebrating over two decades of operation, with 7 studios across 10,000 square feet and around 23 instructors. Its tagline is 'Come for class. Stay for community.' Programming runs from Boppin' Babies for ages 9 months to 3 years, through preschool and toddler classes, age-based beginning classes for youth, tweens and teens, and an accelerated placement-based S.T.E.P. track for dancers 8 and up with annual skills testing. Adult classes, master classes, workshops and bootcamps, private lessons and wedding dance are also offered, plus summer camps and classes. Students perform in a December Showcase and the Inspire Recital in May, though several classes are designated non-performing.
