Robert Thomas Dancenter has taught in Ames, Iowa since 1978, serving central Iowa with classes from pre-kindergarten through adult and college level. The studio advertises small classes, low prices, a 12-month payment plan and an emphasis on technique and terminology, welcoming beginners and experienced dancers alike. Its class list is unusually broad: ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, modern, contemporary, ballroom, Irish, Indian, belly dance, character, musical theatre, creative movement, partnering, tumbling and instructor training, plus a Boys Club.
