Raeann E Salter

Raeann School of Dance, Inc. serves Lee County and the surrounding area from Keokuk, Iowa, teaching dancers of all levels from beginners taking dance as a hobby through to advanced students. Classes are taught by Raeann and by instructors she has personally trained, working from a four-classroom studio with deliberately small class sizes and adult professional instructors who continue their own dance education. The school describes its approach as intensive and technique-focused, stressing discipline, coordination of mind and body, cooperation through group training, and confidence. Subjects named in its dress code cover combination classes, ballet, pointe, specialty ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and technique classes. Kids in Motion is the studio's dance company, made up of competition and performance teams that appear at community festivals and events and represent the studio at regional and national dance competitions. An annual recital is held in the spring, and the studio runs both summer and autumn registration sessions and operates an on-site Dance Shoppe.
