About this studio
Puttin' On Productions (POPs) is a youth musical theatre organization based in Manhattan Beach, California, run with a board of directors and a teaching staff. Its stated mission is to train and educate students in all aspects of musical theatre while emphasizing teamwork, passion, focus and self-confidence, with the aim of developing life skills that lead students towards becoming artists, patrons and supporters of the performing arts. Programming is built around fully staged productions cast by audition: the Rising Stars company for ages 12-18 and MiniPOPs for ages 8-12, which runs in two separate casts. The organization also offers audition workshops to prepare students for the casting process, and productions are staged in autumn and other seasons through the year.
