About this studio
Prima School of Dancing is a studio on Sturgis Road in Rapid City, South Dakota, and describes itself as the city's largest and oldest, part of the Black Hills community for more than 80 years. It offers level-based classes from age three through adult across four sprung dance floors, with faculty the studio says have more than 175 years of combined teaching experience. Preschool offerings include Creative Dance, Broadway Babies and Tiny Tumblers; older classes cover acro, ballet, hip hop, musical theatre, tap, contemporary, jazz, lyrical and a turns, leaps and tricks class. A Training Group performance track and Prima Company competition teams run alongside. The season ends with a May recital; summer programs, parties and a free trial class are offered.
