Olga Dunn Dance Co Inc

The Olga Dunn Dance Company is a non-profit professional dance company based in Great Barrington, in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, founded by artistic director Olga Dunn and active for around fifty years. Dunn, born in Paris of Russian origin, trained at the Richmond Academy of Ballet and the Royal Canadian School of Ballet before studying in New York with Erick Hawkins, Peter Gennaro, Maggie Black, Fred Benjamin and Thelma Hill. The company was one of the first non-profit dance organizations in Western Massachusetts to operate year-round; its dancers rehearse 46 weeks a year and perform original choreography at theatres, schools and outreach sites, including The Egg in Albany, the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival and Tanglewood's Ozawa Hall. Alongside performances it offers guest workshops, master classes for the public and lecture-demonstrations for school children. Several current company members trained at the affiliated Olga Dunn School of Dance.
