Norwalk Dance Center

Norwalk Dance Center, also branded NorthStar Dance Center, operates two Ohio locations: 461 Milan Ave in Norwalk and 615 South Main St in Huron. It runs a September-to-May season built around age-specific preschool combination classes for 2, 3, 4 and 5 year olds (Taperina, a tap and ballet combo, and Tumblerina, a tumble and ballet combo) and school-aged classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and Acrobatic Arts tumbling. The studio has two performance tracks: the NorthStar Company Team, a non-competitive group that performs locally at charity events at low cost, and the NDC Starz competition team, which travels to competitions throughout Ohio and Michigan; the studio says it is the only local studio offering both. Registration and accounts are handled through an online customer portal, staff are professionally trained and CPR certified, and the year ends with a spring recital staged as multiple shows. Summer clinics and dance parties are also offered.
