Northwest Florida Ballet

Northwest Florida Ballet is a non-profit 501(c)(3) ballet company and school at 310 Perry Ave SE in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and one of the oldest fine arts institutions in the area. It presents a full performance season, with 2026-27 comprising the Emerging Choreographers' Project Blackbox, a 47th annual production of The Nutcracker accompanied by the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra under music director David Ott, and Swan Lake. Its education arm centers on the NFB Academie, a program for 3rd through 8th graders entered by audition, and a Pre-Professional High School Program. NFB opened the Sybil Smith Lebhertz Center for Dance Education in 2002, a 13,000 square foot building with dance studios, academic classrooms, a costume shop and offices, and added a 3,500 square foot Studio Annex in 2015 for the growing pre-professional program. The organization also runs community outreach and educational programs and offers memberships and season subscriptions.
