About this studio
Northwest School of Dance (NSD) is a Bremerton, Washington studio whose stated mission is to create a positive, motivational environment that nurtures dancers of all ages and levels as athletes, artists and individuals. Weekly classes run September through June and cover ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, acro, pointe and pre-ballet/pre-jazz combination classes, beginning with Tots for ages 18 months to 3 years and continuing through a lettered leveled program (A-K) for roughly ages 7-18, dedicated boys classes, teen beginner classes and adult ballet, tap and hip hop. NSD also runs a performing arts preschool and two pre-professional groups: the JPB Ballet Company and the Clarke Dance Group competition team. Productions include a spring Dance Gala recital, a December show called A Winter's Tale, and an annual Dancers Against Cancer benefit.
