Mary Flynn Murphy Dance Studio is a family-owned studio at 730 Broadway in the Ball Square area of Somerville, Massachusetts, which marked its 60th season in 2025. It teaches dancers from 18 months through adults and trains children as well-rounded dancers at either recreational or competitive level, describing itself as a dance family rather than simply a studio. The early childhood program starts with Wiggle Worms for 18 months to 3 year olds, a 45-minute prop-based movement class ending with a craft, then Preschool 1 and 2 covering creative movement, pre-ballet, tumbling and an introduction to tap, and Primary Ballet & Tap for 5 and 6 year olds. Youth and intermediate training covers ballet with French terminology, tap, jazz, hip hop and tumbling.
