About this studio
Monticello Acting & Dance Co., known as MadCo, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit musical theatre production company and teaching studio that has served the North Florida region since 2007. The company performs at the Monticello Opera House, staging Broadway musicals, comedies, musical revues and corporate event shows with adults, older teens and newcomers drawn from Monticello, Tallahassee, Quincy, Thomasville, Madison and Perry. Its Children's Company performs each June at the Jefferson County Watermelon Festival, often in original works written and composed by MadCo students. MadCo has run its own studio since 2013, now at 185 E.
