Melrose Dance Academy

Melrose Dance Academy operates from 22 Corey Street, Suite 203 in Melrose, Massachusetts. Its stated mission is not only to teach the art of dance but to build confidence and a sense of achievement, providing a safe, fun and positive environment in which dancers encourage and motivate each other, with a strong emphasis on community among dancers and their families. The academy offers a wide range of classes including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, acro, hip hop, creative movement and contemporary, taking students from around age two or three upward. Alongside the recreational program it runs an audition-based Performance Team that competes and performs locally and regionally through the season, and a separate Competitive Acro Team. All students take part in an annual, professionally directed recital, which the studio presents as an important part of dance training and a builder of self-esteem. Summer classes, a studio store and monthly newsletters round out the program.
