About this studio
Martell School of Dance is an Akron, Ohio school in its 47th season, running two locations on W. Market Street and serving students from pre-school through adult. It offers classes for beginner through advanced levels, with separate fall schedules for preschool to 4th grade and for 5th-12th grade plus adults. Styles include ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, clogging, musical theatre and hip hop, plus a Move With Me class for the youngest dancers and acro workshops. The school runs summer classes, master classes with guest educators, pop-up sessions and camps, and stages three end-of-season recitals. Enrollment is on a rolling basis, directed by Rachel Huffman, and a parent association supports the school.
