About this studio
Operating as Ballet in the City, this nonprofit engages professional ballet dancers from companies around the world to present performances, master classes, mentoring and events that bring ballet up close to audiences in cities across the United States and beyond. It established an Adult Ballet Program in 2022 and its studio is now in residence at Weathervane Playhouse in the Merriman Valley, Akron, Ohio, where it specializes in adult ballet and pointe, ballet for seniors, and barre classes focused on core strength. Private lessons, small group classes, coaching and mentoring are available in the studio and virtually with collaborating artists from Scottish Ballet and New York City Ballet.
