About this studio
Miss Kristin's Dance Studio (MKDS) has been teaching in Avon Lake, Ohio since 1992 and is now in its 34th season, serving Avon Lake and nearby communities from a facility on Pin Oak Parkway. It takes students from age 3 upward across three tracks: an Early Childhood Program for ages 3-8 built around ballet, hip hop, acro and combo classes; a Recreational Dance Program for ages 9-18 covering tap, jazz, ballet and pointe among others; and a Competitive Dance Program for ages 6-18, including a pre-competitive route for ages 5-10 feeding an award-winning competition team that competes at least five times a season in all genres. The studio emphasises leadership development through student-run productions, student assistants and a senior substitute program, and every season includes an optional winter holiday performance and a spring recital. It is an Acrobatic Arts and More Than Just Great Dancing affiliated studio.
