Kozetta's Dance

Kozetta's Dance is a boutique studio at 15938 South Mur Len Road, Olathe, Kansas, where owner Miss Kozetta teaches every class herself. She began teaching in the converted basement of her home in 1984, holds a B.A. from Baker University and is certified through Dance Educators of America, having trained with teachers including Al Gilbert, Janice Barringer and Fred Kelly. The Starlet Program for young children covers tap, ballet and tumbling with an emphasis on rhythm, coordination and gross motor skills, starting at age two and a half and running through three age levels, with Mini Starlet Jazz, Tumble Kats and Starlet Tapper add-ons. Bridge jazz and ballet classes carry students from age 7 into single-subject study, and older dancers take jazz from age 8 to adult, ballet levels I to IV, pointe by director approval, tap from age 9, contemporary and a specialty baton class. Students perform in parades, community events and a May dance concert.
