About this studio
Dance Expressions (DE) is a Shawnee, Kansas studio offering a wide range of dance classes in what it describes as a safe and positive environment, with both recreational and competitive tracks so families can choose the level of commitment that suits them. Season classes are organized by age group: Kinderdance for ages 2.5 to 5.5, Intro to Youth for ages 6-7, Youth for 8-9, Junior for 10-12, and Teen/Senior for 13-18, plus Tumbling/Acro for ages 5 to 18. Age-group programs combine ballet, tap and jazz and add contemporary, hip hop, boys' hip hop and musical theatre as dancers get older. The studio also runs private lessons, shorter 8-week classes, adaptive dance classes for dancers with additional needs, summer camps and classes, a competition team and an annual recital, and takes part in community outreach. Dance Expressions is a member of Dance Masters of America and is an Acrobatic Arts affiliated studio.
