Kansas City Dance Company (KCDC) operates from 801 NE Rice Road in Lee's Summit, Missouri, serving the greater Kansas City area with classes for dancers age 2 and up. The syllabus covers ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and acro/tumbling, along with preschool combo classes for ages 2-6, conditioning classes such as Leaps & Legs and Body Foundations that focus on jumps, turns, core strength and alignment, and a Dance Team Prep class preparing middle-school students for high-school dance teams. Its competition program runs from a Tiny Team for ages 3-5, which competes at two local events, through a Mini Company to a full Company of five groups that attends three regional competitions and one national destination competition each season, with solos, duets and trios available. Company dancers train multiple genres two nights a week plus some Saturdays.
