About this studio
Juline School of Dance is a ballet-centred dance academy at 1700 McHenry Ave, Modesto, California, with a 50-year history in the city and now owned and operated by directors Akira Takahashi and Amy Marie Briones. Classes are grouped by age: toddlers from 2-3, petite dancers 5 and under, young dancers 6-8, pre-teens 8-12, teens 13-18, adults 18 and over, and an inclusive adaptive program for all ages. Beginners, recreational dancers and advanced students are all catered for, and a Pre-Professional Program covers ballet technique, pointe, variations, conditioning and performance preparation. The school hosts Ballet Modesto Ensemble, a nonprofit company led by Takahashi. Other features include parent viewing weeks, an annual outdoor recital, a summer intensive and a free first class.
