About this studio
High Voltage Dance Academy is a locally owned dance studio in Sonora, California that welcomes youth of all ages and abilities. Its class menu covers jazz, described as a mixture of styles from current pop culture with an emphasis on flexibility and technique; hip hop, taught as a street style drawing on breaking, locking and popping; lyrical, which combines ballet and jazz to interpret a song's lyrics expressively; and classical ballet, where dancers learn proper terminology and technical skill. A dedicated stretches, leaps and turns class works on jumps and turning technique. The studio also runs a range of tumbling classes from toddler level through advanced, suitable both for recreational tumblers and for students building skills for cheer programs. High Voltage fields competitive teams alongside its regular classes, and registration and payments are handled through a Jackrabbit parent portal.
