About this studio
High Country Dance Studio is located at 231 Deerfield Road in Boone, North Carolina, and is run by Amber and Doc Hendley. Its program centers on clogging, the Appalachian percussive style, alongside jazz, hip hop, cheer and Zumba. The studio's performing group, the High Country Cloggers, has appeared at a range of events including the St Patrick's Parade and Festival in Dublin, Ireland, the 4th of July Parade in Washington, D.C., a live performance with the Gangstagrass band, the Dollywood Clogging Competition and the USA National Clogging Competition. Qualifying dancers also compete at NCHC National Clogging in Nashville, Tennessee. The studio runs its own annual HCC competition and show, publishes a full class schedule with online registration, and provides costume, shoe and payment information for families.
