About this studio
Giordano Dance Chicago, founded by Gus Giordano, is a Chicago-based professional jazz dance company that bills itself as America's original jazz dance company and is now in its 64th season. It performs a home season at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie and at Chicago venues, and tours internationally. Rather than a weekly-class studio, its teaching runs through education and outreach: master classes, a Chicago summer intensive, residencies with schools and universities worldwide, the Nan Giordano Certification Program for teachers, a college mentorship, and a no-cost Jazz Dance/Science and Health residency in under-resourced Chicago Public Schools.
