About this studio
Greenwich Dance Studio operates from 6 Cross Lane in Cos Cob, Connecticut, serving the Greenwich area. It teaches ballet and pointe, modern, contemporary, lyrical, jazz and hip-hop, and describes its approach as personalised training with professional teachers aimed at producing dancers who are comfortable across several genres. The studio runs a full autumn-to-spring season with a weekly class schedule and yearly calendar, culminating in a themed spring performance; past productions include Iconic, Compass, Sequel and Collective. It also offers a summer intensive and summer workshop in June and July. Long-term families describe it as a mentoring community as much as a technical school, with many students staying for a decade or more.
