About this studio
Genesis Dance Company is a dance studio at 6818 Hemlock Lane North in Maple Grove, Minnesota, in the north-west suburbs of Minneapolis, near Maple Grove Middle School, now in its 17th year of teaching. The studio runs three programs: clubGen, a weekly youth performance program for ages 3 to 14 and up; teamGen, its competitive company; and Tippi Toes Dance, a licensed program for the youngest dancers. clubGen classes are grouped by school year, starting with Pre-K ballet and tap for ages 3 to 5, moving to tap and jazz combinations through the elementary and middle grades, and adding lyrical and ballet in the 5th-6th and 7th-9th grade pre-competitive classes. All clubGen dancers appear in the end-of-year spring show, and the studio holds an autumn open house for registration and shoe fittings. Summer versions of each program run through the holidays.
