Funkmode

FUNKMODE was established in 2004 and is now past its 20th year, founded and led by an instructor who goes by Mighty. The studio's guiding philosophy is 'all love', a phrase used to close every class, event and performance since the school began, and the founder describes FUNKMODE as an inclusive space where people can be themselves and enjoy dancing without taking themselves too seriously. Classes run for children from age 3 through adults of all ages with no experience necessary, covering Hip Hop, Jazz, Cardio Dance, Fierce Femme, Twerk and more. The studio also offers private lessons, after-school programs, birthday parties, special events and studio rental, and partners with local schools to deliver Hip Hop and Breakdance as after-school enrichment. FUNKMODE Studios is a 4,000 square foot ADA-compliant complex with three studio rooms, sprung hardwood floors, full mirror walls, sound systems and closed-circuit viewing from the waiting area, with easy access from Highway 680.
