About this studio
Freckled Frog Dance Studio is a family-owned Orange County children's dance school built on the idea that all children should experience the joy of dance in a fun, nurturing environment. Its Placentia studio is at 2031 E. Orangethorpe Ave, and sister locations operate in Buena Park, Downey and Santa Ana, with franchising now offered. The Little Leapers program covers ages 2 to 6 using a three-step curriculum that runs from age 2 and completes at age 5 or 6 depending on the child's ability, feeding into LEAP Academy for dancers aged 5 and up. LEAP Academy offers hour-long classes in ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatic arts and hip hop, and dancers may either train recreationally or audition for one of the studio's competition teams. Summer camps run at each location, free trial classes are advertised, and enrollment is handled through a Jackrabbit portal. The studio has been a Parenting OC Readers' Choice winner.
