About this studio
Florida Dance Workshop (FDW) has served Charlotte County, Florida since 1991, when mother-and-daughter team Susan Kickbush and Michelle Mandile founded it; the studio is at 24901 Sandhill Blvd in Punta Gorda and also describes its classes as serving Port Charlotte. Classes start at age 3 and cover ballet, pointe, lyrical/contemporary, tap, jazz, acrobatics and hip hop, with staff certified to teach by Dance Masters of America. New students are welcomed for either recreational or career-track training, and free trial classes can be booked through the website. FDW is home to the Florida Dance Company and the Ovations competition team, and students perform year-round across southwest Florida in charity events, competitions and the studio's annual Showtime production.
