About this studio
Farber Ballet, Inc., also known as the Leonid Farber School of Ballet, is based at 1123 Ocean View Avenue in the Brighton Beach area of Brooklyn, New York. Leonid Farber founded the school in 2000, and it draws students aged 3 to 20 from Russia, Ukraine and other countries who are united by a shared interest in preserving the tradition and culture of Russian ballet. Alongside its dance program the school offers piano, electric guitar and art lessons. Costumes for its performances are made in Ukraine by the Kharkov Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, and students and professional dancers from the school have appeared at the Nayana Festival, at American Art Foundation events and at the Tribeca Performing Russian Arts Center in Manhattan.
