Duval Dance Studio

Duval Dance and Music Academy (DDMA) has operated at 17 New Driftway in Scituate, Massachusetts since 1949 and describes itself as a staple of the South Shore community. Under director Stephanie Holleran the academy offers dance classes, acrobatics and music lessons, and lists positivity, lifelong friendships, education, camaraderie, discipline and self-expression among its studio values. Teachers are required to be professionally qualified in the subject they teach and are auditioned with students to check the interaction between instructor and pupil. Programs are divided into a Children's Division for ages 18 months through kindergarten, a recreational Tween and Teen Division from first grade upward, acrobatics from age 4, a Dance Company and competition team from age 6, private dance lessons from age 8, and a music division from age 5. The studio also runs mini camps, birthday parties and a Daddy Daughter Dance, and students perform throughout the year. The facility has floating dance floors and viewing windows with a live video feed for parents.
