Denise's Dance Academy LLC

Established in 1993, Denise's Dance Academy teaches at 7230 W. 162nd Terrace on the Overland Park/Stilwell edge of Johnson County, Kansas. Its stated mission is quality, professional dance education for all ages and abilities in a fun, secure environment, with a commitment to age-appropriate choreography, costuming and music. The recreational program begins with combo classes for ages 3-7 rotating tap, ballet, jazz and tumbling, then a tap/jazz/ballet combo for ages 7-9, and continues with pom/hip hop/jazz, jazz/lyrical, musical theatre/jazz and musical theatre/lyrical classes. Technique offerings include five levels of ballet and pointe (placement class required, age 8 up), pom technique for school dance-team hopefuls, a tricks class and leaps/turns/conditioning. A separate competition team program with travel teams and Company En Pointe runs alongside, plus private lessons, an annual spring recital and an August intensive week with guest teachers.
