About this studio
Dance Fantasies teaches from a studio at 163 Main Street in Derby, Connecticut, with a mailing address in Ansonia, and takes students from age 3 upward. Classes are organized in graded programs: a Pre-school/Kindergarten and Petite program for ages 3-5 and 5-7+, offering ballet and tap on Saturday mornings (with jazz added from about age six and a half) and open to both boys and girls, where students meet basic creative dance movement and fundamental technique with music chosen for each class; a Petite and Junior program for ages 7-12, where dancers learn a fuller warm-up structure, a more involved ballet barre and terminology, and more demanding tap work; and a Junior and Teens program in which exercises become more intricate and dancers are pushed to work to their potential and build strength.
