Dance Connection Inc

Dance Connection is a Long Island dance school founded in 1989 and now in its 38th year, with studios in Islip and Bay Shore, New York and a corporate office at 181 Freeman Avenue, Islip. It teaches all ages and abilities, starting with Mini Movers for 18 months to age 3 and Terrific Twos, through the First Steps preschool program for ages 3-4, Cool Kids Combo for 5-7, and graded classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, acro, pointe (by faculty approval), boys' hip hop and jumps and turns, plus art classes and adult classes. A Building Connections adaptive dance program serves dancers with additional needs. Students can join a performance company, competition team, recital company, Rising Stars, an honor society and a teacher training program. Facilities include technology-enabled classrooms, observation windows with live-stream viewing and a dancewear boutique; the studio produces a professional end-of-year recital with Broadway-style scenery and runs camps, workshops, birthday parties and a free trial class offer.
