About this studio
Contra Costa Ballet Center has provided classical ballet training in Walnut Creek, California since 1967, serving the East Bay from a studio on N. Broadway. The school is organized into a Children's Division for ages 5 to 6, a Student Division for ages 7 to 18, and an Open Division of drop-in classes for adults and teens, plus a summer camp for ages 4 to 7 and a multi-week summer intensive for ages 7 to 18. Directors and faculty have danced with American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet, New York City Ballet, the Royal Ballet and Japanese companies including Matsuyama Ballet. Its affiliated company mounts three professionally produced performances a year, including The Nutcracker, a Spring Rep program and a student showcase, and alumni have gone on to professional careers.
