Cohesion Dance Project

Cohesion Dance Project is a non-profit dance organization at 1020 Argyle Street in Helena, Montana, dedicated to diversity, community involvement and movement that nourishes the human spirit, and offering an integrated, welcoming space for people of all ages, abilities, experiences and backgrounds. Studio classes run from Creative Movement for infants aged two months to four years, where caregivers attend with children under 24 months and the BrainDance approach is used, through youth and creative contemporary for ages 5 to 14, ballet basics and jazz from age 9 up, and teen and adult contemporary at intermediate and advanced levels. Movement for All serves youth and adults with special needs or developmental disabilities, and Active Adult Movement is a drop-in class for older adults. The organization also runs summer classes and camps, school and community outreach, teacher training, internships and a scholarship exchange offering unlimited non-competitive financial assistance. Performances include Nutcracker on the Rocks, artist residencies and a community showcase. It is funded in part by the Montana Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
