About this studio
River Street Dance Theater occupies a former church at 421 North 2nd Street in downtown Hamilton, Montana, at the corner of North 2nd and River Street, and has been an active dance studio and event venue since 1984. The site now presents itself primarily as a rental venue for the Bitterroot Valley, offering three separate spaces on an hourly basis for dance classes, events, weddings, meetings, yoga, martial arts, music, performance and meditation. The main-level Great Room has a 25 by 50 foot oak floor with a 14-foot ceiling, an elevated stage, mirrors and barres, a piano, sound system, dressing room and seating for sixty; a lower-level dance and meeting space has a sprung maple floor and mirrors; and the West Studio is a smaller oak-floored room with views of the Bitterroot Mountains. Special rates are available for non-profit, community and arts organizations.
