About this studio
The Citadel Dance & Music Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization in Benton Harbor, Michigan, running a dance school at 91 Hinkley Street alongside a separate music school on Water Street. Its dance program spans a Young Dancers Program for ages 18 months to 6, levelled concert-dance training for children and teens, a musical theatre program and year-round adult classes for beginner through advanced students. The school deliberately follows a non-competitive concert-dance path, emphasizing artistry, improvisation and original choreography over scored competition; students perform in theatre seasons including a winter production, a Young Dancers Showcase and a Spring Concert of Dance.
