Dance classes in Worcester, Massachusetts
Charlotte Klein Dance Centers has provided dance education for more than 65 years and teaches at 1122 Pleasant Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Owner and director Rachel Rubin trained at the studio from the age of three, danced with the Charlotte Klein Dance Company, took a BA in Dance at Dean College and bought the studio in 2013. Children's programs cover ages 2 to 7 and include Terrific Twos, Creative Movement, Pre-K, Pre-Ballet, K-dance, Danceworks, Tap/Jazz, Ballet Basics and Top Hop. Youth and teen classes for ages 8 and up are offered in jazz, tap, ballet, acro, hip hop and modern. The studio also fields a competition team, with auditions held each June in age bands from 7 to 9, 10 to 13 and 14 and over, runs summer programs and stages an annual recital. Faculty hold certifications from bodies including Dance Masters of America, Acrobatic Arts and Alixa Flexibility.
