About this studio
Catch the FUNk! Dance Studio in Wakefield, Massachusetts teaches current popular styles of dance in an age-appropriate way, taking students from age 2 through high school. The class list covers tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical and general technique, taught at all levels in what the studio describes as a nurturing, encouraging and safe environment for dancers of every ability. The season runs from September through to recitals in June, with summer programming including three-day workshops for ages 3 and up, Funky Summer Tuesdays for ages 2.5 to 6, and hip-hop and lyrical evening classes. Participation is flexible: families can choose a single weekly recreational class, a performance team that requires no audition, or competitive teams joined by invitation and interest. Registration is by printed form mailed or dropped off at the studio.
