Buffalo Inner City Ballet

Buffalo City Ballet, also known as Buffalo Inner-City Ballet, is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit dance and theatre organization at 307 Leroy Avenue in Buffalo, New York, and says it is celebrating 56 years of dance in the Queen City. Its stated mission is to provide quality dance and theatre training with an emphasis on cultural diversity in the Western New York arts community, and it relies on donations, sponsorship and foundation support, including the Margaret L. Wendt Foundation, the Frank G. Raichle Foundation and the Children's Foundation of Erie County, to help cover students' tuition and performance fees. The program is aimed at young dancers who are serious about a dance career or entering a professional dance college, and covers ballet, contemporary dance, pointe work, boys' ballet and a Tiny Tots preparatory class, alongside workshops. The company stages performances including The Nutcracker and spring productions, and also rents out its studio space.
