Investment banker Billy Crocker stows away on the luxurious SS American to woo the beautiful debutante Hope Harcourt. When Billy realizes that Hope has become engaged to a British lord, he enlists the aid of his old friend, Reno Sweeney, an evangelical nightclub singer, and new pal, Moon Martin (Public Enemy #13). Donning several disguises to evade the ship’s crew and his boss, Billy finally wins Hope's affection and Reno falls for Lord Evelyn. Anything Goes features a classic score by Cole Porter, lively dance numbers, and a hilariously farcical plot.
