The Turtle Creek Chorale (TCC), Dallas' award-winning men's chorus and the critically acclaimed Uptown Players partner to present a concert version of the musical RAGTIME tonight, February 7-9 at Dallas City Performance Hall (2520 Flora Street, Dallas). Tickets range $39-54 and are available at www.TurtleCreek.org.

The Turtle Creek Chorale and Uptown Players join forces with a combined cast of over 150 actors, singers, and members of the TCC for a concert version of the powerful Broadway hit and 1998 Tony Award winner (for best musical score), RAGTIME. This snapshot of American history is told through the stories of a Harlem musician, a wealthy matriarch, and a Jewish immigrant. The musical intertwines the stories of these three extraordinary families, as they confront history's timeless contradictions of wealth and poverty, freedom and prejudice, hope and despair, and what it means to live in America.

RAGTIME is not only a powerful portrait of life in turn-of-the-century America but is a relevant tale for today. It incorporates the marvelous early 20th century musical styles including marches, cakewalks, gospel, and of course - ragtime! Part of that marvelous music includes "Wheels of a Dream", "Make them Hear You", "Till We Reach That Day", "Your Daddy's Son", and "Back to Before".

RAGTIME is directed by Uptown's Michael Serrecchia with musical direction by TCC's Artistic Director Trey Jacobs. "We are thrilled to be partnering with the Uptown Players and Michael Serrecchia to perform such gorgeous music," commentEd Jacobs.
