Founded in September of 1993, TeCo Theatrical Productions is an award-winning multicultural theatre company with IRC 501 (c)(3) tax exempt status.  Their mission is to cultivate a diverse and vibrant arts community while creating sustainable opportunities for local and emerging artists through performances and education. Governed by seven board of directors, TeCo impacts more than 15,000 adults and children each year via our seasonal performances and student outreach programs.

10th Annual New Play Competition, Best Of The Best
a showcase of literary talent
February 16 - March 4, 2012

It's the American Idol of Theater! We're inviting grand prize and literary prize winners from previous years to compete for a chance to win $1,000 cash and bragging rights for a year. Audience members vote for their favorite one-act play each night. On closing night, we tally all the votes and award the cash and prizes. It's an unprecedented night of original works. Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare

A romantic comedy of mistaken identities featuring TeCo's T-An-T (Teenagers and Theater) Apprenticeship students. Partnerships include the Dallas County Juvenile Department and the Volunteer Center of North Texas truancy program.

Teen 10-Minute Playwrights Competition
Dramaturge & Workshop Coordinator, Jonathan Norton
August 8 - 11, 2012, 7:30 nightly

We're inviting six TEEN playwrights to compete for a chance to win $500 cash and a backpack full of supplies. Audience members will be given ballots to vote for their favorite ten-minute play on each night of the show. On closing night, we tally the votes and award the winning playwright with the cash and prizes.
