DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS Announced At Theatre Three
Theatre Three will present a new production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, running this summer on the Norma Young Arena Stage.
Theatre Three will present a new production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, running June 11-July 12 on the Norma Young Arena Stage, directed by Vonda K. Bowling, music directed by Cody Dry, and choreographed by Kelly McCain.
Based on the popular film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels follows the hilarious rivalry between two con artists; one refined and sophisticated, the other brash and unpredictable, as they compete to swindle an unsuspecting heiress.
“This is Dirty Rotten Scoundrels like you've never seen it before,” says Artistic Director Jeffrey Schmidt. “A 1970's casino is the perfect backdrop for a story about illusion, ambition, and outlandish cons. It amplifies everything: the comedy, the characters, and the sheer fun of the piece.”
The production features a cast of local talent, including James Crawford*, Parker Gray*, Christina Austin Lopez*, Ryan Michael Friedman, Mary Gilbreath Grimm, Sophie De Young, Mark Tam Quach, and Steven Rios who, with the help of Scenic Designer, Jeffrey Schmidt, will transform the historic theater into a bustling casino playground. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to the story, this reimagined version promises a night of high-energy entertainment and unexpected twists. And remember, what happens in Theatre Three stays in Theatre Three!
