Brought to you by the award-winning creative team of Kevin Murphy (Reefer Madness, Desperate Housewives), Laurence O'Keefe (Bat Boy, Legally Blonde) and director Andy Fickman (Reefer Madness, She's the Man), Heathers The Musical (High School Edition) is a hilarious, heartfelt and homicidal new show based on the greatest teen comedy of all time.

Why Heathers? The better question might be, why did it take so long for there to be a Heathers! To some degree, almost every young person has experienced bullying and harassment. Only recently have psychologists and educators realized the long-term effect of bullying on a child's development. Growing up at Walnut Hill Elementary, a classmate of mine "Dolly" (named changed to protect the guilty) chose one child every year to humiliate and bully successfully engaging many of our classmates in the endeavor. Dolly never used physical violence against her peer, but the effect was far worse leading one child to a nervous breakdown. In large part because "Dolly" was too smart to use violence, the teachers were at a loss to stop the harassment. Sadly, these victims all left our sweet Northwest Dallas school to escape her wrath.

After you see Heathers, you will almost certainly not go home with a "happy ever after" feeling, but theatre is the perfect medium for families to discuss these important subjects with their teens in an objective medium. Scripts like Heathers allow parents neutral platforms to talk about sensitive subjects with their teens.
