IMPRINT theatreworks presents their Inaugural Season: Built for Longing.

Built for Longing (a theme borrowed from a lyric in their first musical selection) is a Season that focuses on the internal desire for more and how it can unravel us. From needing to be on top, to fantasizing about a past lover, to starting a revolution, and to always wondering what it's like on the other side, Built for Longing features four emotionally honest, powerful, and driven pieces of theatre that will leave IMPRINT's audiences touched and excited for our vision.

"We are thrilled about our Season and what it represents. We chose to focus on four shows that are not only extremely relevant to today's audiences but tell very real, powerful, and intense stories.

We've bookended the Season with exciting takes on two contemporary classics. Then, in the middle are two area premieres, both written by female playwrights and featuring strong female roles, two things which we are very passionate about.

These ensemble driven pieces are powerful, truthful, and fresh...and we can't wait for our audiences to see them."- Ashley H. White, Co-Artistic Director

"Theatre is a world built on dreams. We all have them. We all think about lives that are not our own. But do we let those fantasies rule us, guide us or even destroy us?

That fundamental human trait is what we are exploring in our first season, Built for Longing. We will begin and end with two modern masterpieces focusing on the hopes of those who feel the world is ignoring them and passing them by. Then, in the middle are two area premieres that deal with the unbridled passion and drive that forces us to do both good and evil.

Join us this year, be a real part of our ensemble, and experience the journey in being "Built for Longing." - Joe Messina, Co-Artistic Director
