President and Executive Producer Denton Yockey is proud to announce the production schedule for Casa Mañana's 2008 - 2009 Broadway At The Bass Season.

The 2008 - 2009 Season includes: the electrifying percussion sensation STOMP, a national tour featuring new production numbers, November 11 - 16, 2008 at the Bass Performance Hall; the holiday engagement of ANNIE produced by Casa Mañana, December 23 - 28, 2008 at the Bass Performance Hall; the timeless favorite and Tony Award winning Best Musical CATS, a Broadway national tour, February 3 - 8, 2009 at the Bass Performance Hall; the smash hit Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL produced by Casa Mañana, March 10 - 15, 2009 at the Bass Performance Hall; and the beloved Pulitzer Prize winning play DRIVING MISS DAISY produced by Casa Mañana, April 21 - 26, 2009 at Casa Mañana Theatre.

The Broadway Season begins in November with the return of STOMP.  STOMP is explosive, provocative, sophisticated, utterly unique and appeals to audiences of all ages. The international percussion sensation has garnered an armful of awards and rave reviews, and has appeared on numerous national television shows. The eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments - matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, hubcaps - to fill the stage with magnificent rhythms. STOMP - see what all the noise is about.  The performance schedule is:  Tuesday, November 11 at 7:30pm; Wednesday, November 12 at 7:30pm; Thursday, November 13 at 7:30pm; Friday, November 14 at 8:00pm; Saturday, November 15 at 2:00 & 8:00pm; and Sunday, November 16 at 2:00 & 7:00pm.  This show is a national touring production presented by Casa Mañana at the Bass Performance Hall, and is suitable for all audiences.

In December, Annie, Sandy, Daddy Warbucks, Miss Hannigan, FDR, Rooster and all those adorable orphans return to the Bass Performance Hall just in time for the holidays.   Winner of 7 Tony Awards including Best Musical, ANNIE features the classic songs "Tomorrow," "It's A Hard Knock Life," "You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile," and "A New Deal For Christmas."  As long as ANNIE is around, the sun will always come out tomorrow!  The performance schedule is:  Tuesday, December 23 at 7:30pm; Thursday, December 25 at 7:30pm; Friday, December 26 at 2:00 & 8:00pm; Saturday, December 27 at 2:00 & 8:00pm; and Sunday, December 28 at 2:00 & 7:00pm.  This show is produced by Casa Mañana and is suitable for all audiences.

In February, there's no better way to introduce your family to the wonders of live theater than with the magic, the mystery, the memory of CATS. What began as a musical about cats after Andrew Lloyd Webber picked up a book of poems in an airport bookshop has become one of the longest running shows in Broadway's history. Winner of seven Tony Awards including Best Musical, CATS features 20 of Andrew Lloyd Webber's timeless melodies, including the hit song, "Memory."  The performance schedule is:  Tuesday, February 3 at 7:30pm; Wednesday, February 4 at 7:30pm; Thursday, February 5 at 7:30pm; Friday, February 6 at 8:00pm; Saturday, February 7 at 2:00 & 8:00pm; and Sunday, February 8 at 2:00 & 7:00pm.  This show is a national touring production presented by Casa Mañana at the Bass Performance Hall, and is suitable for all audiences.

In March, Disney's smash hit movie musical is coming live on stage to the Bass Performance Hall.  Watch the twists and turns of Troy, the captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella, a transfer student and genius in science, as they surf the tricky tides of cliques and peer pressure to follow their dreams and score the leads in their high school musical. Featuring all the songs from the movie plus two new numbers, DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL has more energy and fun than a high school pep rally!  The performance schedule is:  Tuesday, March 10 at 7:30pm; Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30pm; Thursday, March 12 at 7:30pm; Friday, March 13 at 8:00pm; Saturday, March 14 at 2:00 & 8:00pm; and Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 & 7:00pm.  This show is produced by Casa Mañana and is suitable for all audiences.

And in April, the Pulitzer Prize winning play DRIVING MISS DAISY is coming to Casa Mañana Theatre.  Having recently demolished another car, Daisy Wertham, a sharp-tongued, 72 year old widow, is informed by her son that she must rely on a chauffeur.  He hires a thoughtful, unemployed black man, Hoke, whom Miss Daisy immediately regards with disdain.  Despite their mutual differences, the two grow ever closer and more dependent on each other.  It's an engaging comedy that captures the blossoming friendship between two very unlikely people.  The performance schedule is:  Tuesday, April 21 at 7:30pm; Wednesday, April 22 at 7:30pm; Thursday, April 23 at 7:30pm; Friday, April 24 at 8:00pm; Saturday, April 25 at 2:00 & 8:00pm; and Sunday, April 26 at 2:00 & 7:00pm.  This show is produced by Casa Mañana and is suitable for all audiences.
