The smash-hit musical Rent is coming to Casa Mañana Theatre March 3 – 11. Tickets are on sale now.

Set in the East Village of New York City, Rent tells the unforgettable story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling and learning to survive, fall in love, find their voices and live for today. This rock opera, penned by Jonathan Larson, quickly became one of the most beloved and longest running Broadway musicals of all time, winning multiple Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize. Don't miss this smash-hit musical that has become a pop culture phenomenon.  

Casa Mañana's production of Rent stars Jason Wooten as "Roger," Karmine Alers as "Mimi," and Adam Hose as "Mark." Wooten has appeared in several Broadway productions including HairGreaseThe Rocky Horror ShowJesus Christ Superstar and Footloose. Alers is well-known for starring as "Mimi" in the Broadway production of Rent. Hose's Off-Broadway credits include Tully and I Come For Love. Additional cast members include Jennifer Boswell as "Maureen," Kia Dawn Fulton as "Joanne," Maurice Johnson as "Tom Collins," Walter Lee Cunningham Jr. as "Angel," and Christopher J. Deaton as "Benny." 

Casa Mañana's production of Rent is directed and choreographed by Tim Bennett. Bennett was most recently the Resident Director of the Las Vegas production of The Lion King and was the Director and Choreographer of Bernstein on Broadway with The Boston Pops. Andrea Avruskin is the Associate Director/Choreographer and Jeremy Dumont is the Assistant Director/Choreographer. Eddy Robinson is the Music Director, Tammy Spencer is the Costume Designer, Samuel Rushen is the Lighting Designer and Duane McKee is the Sound Designer.

Additional ensemble members include Aubrey Adams, Ashley Arnold, Jeremy Dumont, Simone Gundy, Kyle Kleiboeker, Michael Muenchow, and Darius-Anthony Robinson.

Casa Mañana's production of Rent is presented for a limited engagement at Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth. Performance dates are Saturday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; Sunday, March 4 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, March 9 at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, March 10 at 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday, March 11 at 2:00 p.m. This show is not suitable for all audiences, parental discretion is advised. 

Friday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m. is a student preview night with cast talkback following the show; open for students, faculty and staff with valid school ID for $10. 

Tickets for Rent are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Casa Mañana Theatre box office at 817.332.2272. You can also visit the box office at 3101 West Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth. Ticket prices are $40 to $65, depending upon seating location. A $20 student rush ticket will be offered one hour prior to every performance with valid school ID.
